Namaste:
A Token of Goodwill
Namaste
literally means "I humbly bow to you",
from the Sanskrit: Namas: "to bow, obeisance, reverential salutation",
and Te: "to you". It is commonly accompanied by a slight
bow made with the hands pressed together, palms touching, in front
of the chest. As yogis we often give namaste further
meaning and say "the devine in me bows to the divine
in you", and should be taken as a gesture or token
of goodwill.
A
more appropriate caption for this plate would be Lotus or Padmasana,
but it's still cool. We've written to Littlearth, hoping to inspire
their artists to come up with other yoga inspired plates, in addition
to what they already offer.
